More information about the congress coming soon.

Slovenia is a small sub-Alpine country with two million inhabitants, situated between Austria, Italy, Croatia and Hungary. Slovenia, a green and diverse country that lies between the Alps, the Mediterranean, and the Pannonian plain, embraces all the beauties of the old Continent. Waiting for you are snow - covered mountains and a piece of the Mediterranean coast, beautiful karst caves and thermal springs, deep gorges created by clear mountain rivers, wide vistas of slow flowing rivers, mountain lakes and disappearing karst lakes, ancient villages and medieval towns, old castles and modern entertainment centres, innumerable vineyards producing top quality wines, and even mysterious primeval forests. You can travel through time all day in museums, castles, churches, and galleries. Today you can enjoy the peace of a farm holiday and tomorrow experience an international cultural event. Slovenia is truly colourful. Bled and its lake lie in the north-western part of Slovenia at an altitude of 501 metres. The lake has an area of 1.45 km2 with a maximum depth of 30,6 metres. An Island in the western part of the Lake makes the town and its surroundings even more picturesque. The fertile land and the safe protection of the Castle hill and the island have invited man to settle at Bled from time immemorial. Nowadays Bled is a well-known tourist resort with many cultural and natural monuments in its neighbourhood. Every visitor to Bled should visit the old Bled Castle, proudly towering on a sheer rock above the Lake. The Island with its Church of the Assumption can be reached by a typal boat, found only at Lake Bled, called pletna. Coachmen called fjakerji can take you for a drive around the Lake and to the Bled Castle. Many other trips to near and far surroundings are possible, the most beautiful one is to Triglav National Park in the vicinity. Come and discover it!
