Scholarship Fund
Instructions for applicants
All Member Organizations have the right to propose young scientist(s) – max. 38 years of age – for the EAAP Annual Meeting. An applicant who already obtained a scholarship in the past cannot re-apply before three years. A maximum of two scholarships per country can be granted.
The candidate’s application must be supported by the relevant Member Organization.
Before the 1st of February 2004
For each applicant, the Roma EAAP Secretariat should receive from the Member Organization a letter announcing and supporting the candidacy of the scholar(s), along with:

1.1 Name, address, fax and phone number, date of birth, official title or function, short description of the scientific work and main publications of the applicant.

1.2 Name and address of the institution where he/she works. This formal request should be accompanied by:

2.1 Five copies of the full paper which the applicant intends to present, written in one of the working languages of the Association (English, French or German) left to his choice, and not exceeding five pages including tables, figures and references. The contribution has to fit of course into the agenda of one of the provisional joint or single sessions.

2.2 A copy of the original abstract form, duly filled in accordance with instructions given on the back of the form.

2.3 The estimated round trip travel expenses (air fare APEX / student economy class or train 2nd class) from home to the venue of the Annual Meeting and back.

2.4 The bank account details of the applicant.

Before the 1st of March 2004 (deadline)
The applicant should send directly to the publisher a completed abstract form. Abstracts can be downloaded from www.WageningenAcademic.com/eaap/ (see also previous page). Please follow the instructions, that must be downloaded together with the abstract form, carefully. Accordingly, it must be typed according to the instructions for authors given on the back of the original pre-printed forms available from the Roma EAAP Secretariat, the Publisher or the Organizing Committee.
By the end of April 2004
The Roma EAAP Secretariat will inform the applicant on the result of the examination of his candidacy by the Board of examiners.
The selected applicants will receive at the same time the conditions and uses of the lump sum, according to the financial situation of the Scholarship Fund.
In the same way as for all other authors of communications the selected applicants will be informed by the relevant Commission President, on their paper’s method of presentation.
